Super Neighborhood Alliance names committee rosters and schedules special-call vote to authorize fall election

The Super Neighborhood Alliance confirmed committee rosters and said it will hold a special virtual meeting the second Monday in July to vote to call a special election to fill the seats of chair and vice chair.
Leticia Grant, acting chair of the Super Neighborhood Alliance, read committee rosters and described three classes of committees: a nominating committee, a planning committee and chair-appointed committees (budget and finance; economic development; housing and affordability; public safety; quality of life; resilience). She said the chair will appoint committee chairs and would consult with volunteers before the next regular meeting.
The nominating committee includes Keith Downey, Cheryl O'Brien and Doug Smith; members asked for a minimum membership check and volunteers to avoid ties. The planning committee will include the chair, vice chair, secretary and past leadership and named additional members. Chair-appointed committees and volunteers were listed: budget and finance (Jack [last name captured as Filinski in roll call]); economic development (Lindsey Williams); housing and affordability (Michelle Blackwell and Leticia Grant); public safety (Jeff Baker, Nick Kaye, Rick Cordes, Stacy Fairchild); quality of life (Cheryl O'Brien, Lindsey Williams, Stacy Fairchild); resilience (Ricky Cardenas was identified as chair of resilience).
Regarding the special-call process, Grant announced a short July meeting to approve the minutes, the agenda and to vote to call a special election. She explained the timeline: the Alliance will hold a July meeting to vote to call the special election; if members approve calling the election, the special election itself will be scheduled for September. Greg urged the Alliance to “send out the notice for the election 30 days in advance.” Grant said meeting notices and the agenda would be sent out according to standard notice procedures.
Grant said she will contact committee volunteers individually to confirm chairs and will announce the chair appointments by email prior to the next regular meeting. Members were asked to submit committee-chair interest or clarifications by email so staff can document nominations.
