The Clarkston Town Council unanimously adopted Ordinance 25-02, approving the town’s fiscal year 2025–26 budget, following a public hearing that drew no public comment.
Mayor Heydall opened the hearing and said there were no members of the public in attendance; after a brief presentation of the proposed budget and a short discussion, Councilmember Hanover moved to adopt Ordinance 25-02 and Councilmember Stevenson seconded the motion. A roll call vote recorded Mayor Heydall, Councilmember Stevenson, Councilmember Kelly, Councilmember Hanover and Councilmember Peterson voting aye; the ordinance was approved unanimously.
The ordinance as read to the council sets the town’s general fund at $637,326; the cemetery enterprise fund revenue at $333,500; the water enterprise fund revenue at $172,300 with expenditures of $154,441. The ordinance text and a full budget attachment were referenced in the meeting record.
Council members noted there had been prior discussion of the draft budget at an earlier meeting and that only a few line items had changed since that discussion. The mayor said the proposed budget will take effect in July 2025 and run through June 2026, consistent with the reading of the ordinance.
The council closed the public hearing before moving into the regular meeting agenda items.
