The subcommittee said it has met with contractors and received preliminary estimates and expected formal proposals within about a week; final proposals will be forwarded to the architect/consultant for amendment and then returned to the committee for approval. The subcommittee indicated it has permission to proceed with the three projects pending finalized proposals and cost confirmations.
On the playground, the committee was told that the equipment has been manufactured and is en route to the United States and that the installation contractor is onboard and ready to proceed. The follow-up contractor responsible for the poured-in-place surfacing is scheduled to follow installation. Substantial completion for the playground was described as expected by June 30, but a ribbon-cutting before the end of school will not be possible.
Committee members also raised administrative details about invoice and reimbursement processing, and staff said they are working through a legal issue involving a prior architect that affects field design documentation and reimbursement paperwork. The committee asked staff and subcommittee members to coordinate the bridal (bridal/Bridal name used in transcript) reimbursement paperwork with the city as needed.
No committee votes were taken on these updates; committee members asked staff to return with finalized proposals and reimbursement documentation.
