Hampton County Council discusses school-district litigation, approves first-reading action on land-dispute settlement

The Hampton County Council said it held an executive session to receive legal counsel on pending or potential claims involving the Hampton County School District and approved a first-reading action to consider settlement of a land dispute with the district.

Council members moved and seconded a motion described in open session as "grant first reading by title only for consideration of a settlement of a land dispute with Hampton County School District."
