The actions are intended to clarify firefighting response authority in parts of unincorporated Kane County, modernize the county's financial reporting systems and finalize personnel and board appointments ahead of the summer season. Commissioners also set a public hearing for July 22 on a proposal to annex territory into the Church Wells Special Service District for fire protection only.
