County staff also stated that about 20% of the county’s CDBG share is proposed for administrative costs and that nonprofit agencies are eligible to apply for both CDBG and HOME funds.
Officials said applications will be available starting June 25, 2025, through Aug. 1, 2025, and that a second required public hearing will be held in September, when applicants will have two minutes each to present proposed projects to the committee. Staff described a review process: trainings for applicants, municipal and nonprofit application review, and scoring of nonprofits if demand exceeds available funding. Final recommendations are expected to return to the committee during the December cycle. No members of the public spoke during the hearing.
