Shawnee County commissioners on June 9 approved a rezoning request that will allow an existing Window Design business east of the city of Silver Lake to expand.
Joni Fedani, director of the county planning department, told commissioners the request—Resolution 2025-43—would amend a parcel’s zoning from RA-1 (rural/agricultural) to I-1 (light industrial) adjacent to the business’s current I-1 parcel. "We are here today for a public hearing on resolution 2025-43 to amend the zoning district classification from RA-1 to I-1," Fedani said.
