The Louisville Municipal School District board approved its agenda and a series of routine and property-related items during a regularly scheduled meeting.
The board approved the consent agenda, claims docket (numbers 340712 through 340904) and the district’s financial reports. It approved changes to account signatories, directed clearing of certain payroll- and accounts-payable clearing accounts on June 30, 2025, and authorized running claims on the 10th and 20th of each month for the 2025–26 school year (with superintendent flexibility for holidays and emergencies).
The board voted to advertise a budget hearing described in the meeting as scheduled on 07/24/2025 at 8:30 a.m.; a later speaker referenced July 25 during discussion, and the transcript records both dates in the meeting comments.
On property matters, the board accepted the highest bid for a 7.5-acre tract off Enon Road and approved the sale to Sandra Dempsey for $25,100. The board noted an appraisal value of roughly $22,000 and that a second bid came from Martin Knowles for $24,000. The board asked staff (Mr. Mayo) to complete closing paperwork.
The board approved three lease items grouped in a single motion: a new 1-acre recreational lease for Johnny Gregory in parcel 16-13-13 (Claytown); cancellation of a 3.5-acre residential lease for Autry Rutledge and approval of a new 5-acre residential lease for Jack Rutledge in parcel 16-13-12; and a new 5-acre recreational lease for Jack Rutledge in 16-13-12. Trustees said the combined leases total roughly 13 acres across the referenced parcels.
The board approved the highest hunting bid for a 40-acre parcel in 16-13-13 to Glenn Jones at $6.05 per acre.
Other routine approvals recorded on the consent agenda included coaching supplements for Louisville High School and approval of student transfers.
The board set its next regular meeting for a date in July (captured in the meeting as “July,” with the board confirming the month during roll call).
