Davis recommended a minimum 20–25 day response period but proposed an immediate schedule that the board could shorten or extend depending on response rates.
Board members discussed timing constraints, noting some assistant principals are 10-month employees and may check email less frequently. After discussion the board approved a motion to send the surveys June 11 with returns by June 25; the chair and superintendent will monitor response rates and may extend the deadline if needed. The board noted it expects compiled results to be available by its July meeting for review.
The board approved conducting the evaluation annually and confirmed the surveys are required by statute for the superintendent's evaluation.
The motion carried unanimously.
