"As soon as you turn on your Chromebook, you'll notice there's a CCS get engaged login," Sharp said. He said the product creates accounts and rosters classes from the district student information system, Infinite Campus, and reduces manual account management for teachers and media coordinators.
Sharp gave the price breakdown the board was shown: $3.30 per user, which he said totals $58,726.80, plus an additional line item described in the presentation as an added "raw scribe piece" that brought the total to $60,076.80. He told the board the district typically uses state technology funds to pay for ClassLink and the cost is already included in the next school year’s budget.
A board member moved to approve the renewal; the board approved the motion by unanimous voice/raise of hands.
The board’s approval covered only the renewal quote presented; the meeting record does not specify contract length beyond the one-year renewal period or any performance conditions.
