Scouts present Scout Reach program to Hampton council; mayor proclaims June as Men's Health Month

Joshua Cox said: "Scouting gave me that opportunity to go and talk and make connections with other youth my age...I am an Eagle Scout and a Vigil Honor member." Joseph Casey described scouting as having "made the biggest impact possible on my life" and credited seamanship and leadership training.
Mayor Gray also read a proclamation recognizing June 9–15 as Men's Health Week and June 2025 as Men's Health Month in the City of Hampton, citing national data on men's life expectancy and encouraging preventative health practices. The mayor invited residents to upcoming community events including Juneteenth at Millpoint Park and an annual ceremony at Buckroe Beach.
