Clovis Police department hosts reaccreditation on-site review, hires community relations coordinator

Thorne described the process: assessors completed an on-site tour and will review policies and procedures; additional reviewers will participate by Zoom to verify the department is maintaining roughly 260 accreditation standards over the prior three years. He said he was confident the department would pass the on-site portion.
The chief also announced a new hire: Ginny Stacy will serve as the department's community relations coordinator. Thorne said Stacy will help with recruiting, manage social media and public outreach, coordinate the citizens police academy, organize youth programming, and run events such as National Night Out and the annual Cops and Kids fundraiser. Stacy was not present at the meeting.
