Board members held a roll call at the start of the meeting and then opened nominations for chair and vice chair. After nominations, a board member said, “I’ll gladly do it,” and the motion to elect that member as chair carried. Melissa was nominated for vice chair; a member seconded the nomination and members voted “aye.”
The election followed routine procedure on the meeting agenda item titled “Election of officers, chairman and vice chairman.” The board proceeded to conduct business under the newly elected officers for the remainder of the session.
