Recent work and wins: presenters described a classified evaluation revision and handbook review, professional-development offerings expanded to classified staff, stipend and COVID-era pay work, and recruitment/retention engagement for paraprofessionals and bus drivers. CSAC leaders said they have participated on hiring panels, joint‑insurance committees and other district task forces.
Outreach and requests: CSAC said it distributes a newsletter and outreach materials to new employees, maintains a consistent Google Meet link for monthly participation and has expanded classified professional-development sessions during district PD days. Officers asked the board to reinstate regular direct presentations from CSAC as had been done pre-COVID and asked that meet-and-confer notes or summaries be provided to the board so trustees can track classified concerns and proposals.
Board response: trustees asked for clearer documentation of meet-and-confer outcomes and said they would consider bringing CSAC back for a scheduled study-session. Several trustees acknowledged CSAC’s involvement in evaluation work and encouraged continued communication.
