Municipal court judge reappointment: council unanimously approved the mayor's item reappointing Vanessa Heinholdt to a two-year term as municipal court judge.
Sanitary sewer contract award: council awarded the Anthony Road and Hanselman Road sanitary sewer improvements project to Ramrod Utilities LLC for $2,050,000; engineering staff recommended Ramrod as the best value after six proposals were received. The work includes upsizing several sewer mains (pipe bursting from 15" to 18" in places and from 12" to 16" near the Lone Tree lift station) and constructing approximately 12" main to serve about 70 acres south of Hanselman Road.
Victoria Development Commission appointments: council appointed Councilmember Kidder, Councilmember Butler and Mayor Pro Tem Young to the Victoria Development Commission board of directors. The commission, created in 1982, can issue conduit tax-exempt bonds to support industrial, manufacturing and other qualified projects.
How votes were handled: the consent agenda passed on a single motion and voice vote.
