The Plaistow Board of Selectmen announced at its June 2 meeting that the town and Sweet Hill Farm have mutually resolved a permitting dispute and that the parties agreed to move forward cooperatively.
Select Chair read a prepared statement saying the town will promptly issue building permits for the farm projects that had been in dispute. According to the statement, Sweet Hill Farm will withdraw its lawsuit against the town, and the town will remove certain related statements from the town website.
The statement, which the board said would be posted on the town website and in the meeting minutes, said both parties regretted that the disagreement had become a legal dispute lasting nearly two years and that they welcome the opportunity to work together in the future.
No further details about the terms of any settlement, permit conditions or timelines were provided during the public meeting. Board members said the statement will be posted online.
