The Bryan ISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously to approve renewal of Skyward enterprise software annual support in the amount of $253,239 for the 2025'26 school year.
District staff described progress on migrating business functions (finance, payroll, HR, fixed assets) and student information to Skyward. They reported the business side is fully operational and the student information migration was scheduled to go live around July 1. Staff highlighted operational efficiencies realized by moving timekeeping into Skyward (eliminating a separate TimeClock Plus contract) and anticipated additional savings as attendance-letter and data tools come online. Trainers and administrators said the platform provides configurable "tiles" for live data monitoring and position-control features staff are using to support budget analysis.
Board members asked about user reaction; staff described an initial learning curve followed by growing acceptance and utility. The motion to approve the renewal passed unanimously.
The renewal vote was recorded as a contract-approval action; staff will continue training and implementation work this summer.
