KETCHIKAN, Alaska — The Ketchikan Visitors Bureau (KVB) asked the borough assembly on June 2 to consider funding parts of its FY26 operating request and a mobile visitor center intended to provide visitor information at Ward Cove, Berth 4 and other locations.
Kara Tetley, who identified herself as representing the Ketchikan Visitors Bureau, described a range of needs in the bureau’s budget packet and said the bureau’s current request to the borough was $465,000 for the calendar year. Tetley said the KVB board approved a modest $15,000 increase over last year to cover specific items including people counters, website upgrades and imagery.
