Baldwin Park City recreation staff on Monday recapped the May 17 Mental Health Awareness run/walk, described planned changes for next year after route confusion, introduced a downloadable summer–fall recreation guide and promotional keychains, and released the Street Market in the Park schedule running June 12 through Aug. 21.
The Mental Health Awareness event at Morgan Park included a one-mile run/walk/bike, a vendor fair with about 20 resource booths, live entertainment and participation by Baldwin Park High School. Program supervisor April Rojo said participants received medals and that LA County Fire Department Station 29 again displayed a large Garrison flag as part of opening ceremonies.
