Planning commission welcomes new member and schedules training; departing commissioner acknowledged

During the meeting’s staff reports, Planning Commission members announced a new incoming commissioner and upcoming training opportunities.
Staff said this would be Commissioner Blair’s last meeting and introduced the new planning commissioner, Bob, who said he works for a vertically integrated developer/contractor called Wasatch Group and described two decades of construction and preconstruction experience. Bob said he is "excited to be working with you all and looking forward to it." Commissioner Blair thanked members and staff for their support and noted his years of service.
Staff also announced the Utah Chapter of the American Planning Association biannual training scheduled for May 7–9 in Logan and said the city will pay to send commissioners. Staff suggested a Planning Commission 101 session and Roberts Rules/basic procedural training for the commission at a later date. The commission adjourned following those reports.
