Sarah Vogt, who identified herself as a Welcome Home Skagit representative from Deming, told the commissioners the county day shelter has recorded 8,850 visits in the current reporting cycle and the night shelter provided 2,104 bed nights between Nov. 14, 2024 and April 2, 2025. "Our day shelter to date has been utilized 8,850 times by 569 unduplicated individuals," Vogt said. She also reported an overnight safe‑parking program with 2,358 uses by 36 unduplicated individuals during the same grant cycle.
