Montezuma County approves March payables and Social Services April payables

The Montezuma County Board of County Commissioners on May 27 approved county financial payables for March 2025 and accepted Social Services’ minutes and April 2025 payables.
Travis (county finance) reported March totals including a general fund balance and line‑by‑line figures for road and bridge, public health, landfill, senior transport and other funds. The board moved to approve March financials and payables in the amount of $3,534,989.01; the motion was seconded and carried by recorded ayes.
Separately, the board approved the record of proceedings for the Montezuma County Social Services meeting from April 29, 2025 and accepted Social Services payables for April in the amount of $1,356,328.31. A motion to approve the Social Services minutes and payables was moved, seconded and carried.
County staff said there were no questions on the presented figures and that the board had had the opportunity to review the documents prior to the vote. The finance summary and the Social Services expenditures will be recorded in the county’s fiscal records.
