The commission voted unanimously to approve the Tennessee Reinstatement and Compliance Essentials course (TRACE), a 30-hour reinstatement option staff designed to be used under the new statutory reinstatement path. Miss Morris presented the TRACE outline and explained the course has three modules that blend prelicensing and core content designed for licensees who must complete a full 30-hour path to reinstate a lapsed license.
Commissioners also approved 36 new TREK instructor applicants (labeled JI1–JI36 in staff materials) and approved 89 continuing-education course applications (J1–J89). Among courses approved was a two-hour fire-safety outreach course (J66) developed with the State Fire Marshal's Office; the fire marshal’s outreach coordinator, John Perry, will be an instructor and the course includes client-facing materials to help agents share fire-safety information with homebuyers.
Miss Morris said PSI (the exam vendor) and staff reviewed state exam questions to align with the legislative changes; commissioners were told most exam content updates will launch with the July 1 statutory changes. The Education report and pass/fail exam snapshots for April and May were provided to commissioners on the meeting packet.
