The Tennessee Real Estate Commission at its June meeting approved two informal-appearance applicants and granted fee reductions and reinstatement conditions for two other former licensees.
Caitlin Holly and Andrew Sullivan were each approved to move forward. The commission recorded unanimous approval for both candidates after their statements and letters of recommendation were presented; the candidates appeared with their principal brokers for the brief informal appearances.
Separately the commission considered two waiver requests from licensees seeking relief from retesting and penalty fees after licenses lapsed. For Danisha Wellington the commission reduced the penalty from the full assessed amount down to $500 on condition that she complete the remaining 13 hours of continuing education within 60 days; commissioners discussed the alternative (retest/reapply with no fee) before adopting the motion unanimously. For Mister Connor the commission approved a $500 reduced fee and reinstatement without retest on condition that he obtain errors-and-omissions (E&O) insurance within 30 days; that motion also passed unanimously.
Commissioners framed the waiver votes as discretionary remedies that preserve the commission’s statutory options while giving individual applicants a path to reinstate. Staff advised commissioners of the standard statutory paths (retest/reapply for expirations beyond one year) and described the practical effects of choosing a fee-based reinstatement versus retesting.
The meeting also included routine agenda and minutes approvals prior to the informal appearances and waiver deliberations.
