- At the Chickasha Municipal Authority meeting, the authority approved Change Order No. 1 for CMA-2501, sanitary sewer main replacement on Colorado Avenue and Fourth Street, in the amount of $167,819.44. Staff said the project is nearing final inspection.
Council discussion included concerns about timing — several members asked whether authorization to hire consultants was premature ahead of an anticipated announcement and asked whether agreements would obligate the city to proceed. City Manager Jim Crosby and other staff said authorization would allow staff to move quickly if development opportunities materialize but that any contract or expenditure would return to council for approval.
