Northern Nye County Hospital District adopts FY 2025-26 final budget

The budget the board approved is the rollover of the tentative budget certified by the Nevada Department of Taxation. "We prepared this final budget. We did receive a certification from Department of Taxation on the tentative," said Helen Bay, comptroller for Nye County, who presented the document and answered trustees' questions.
Board members said they had no further questions before the vote. A motion to approve the FY 2025-26 budget was made and seconded, and the board voted in favor. Trustees recorded a 3-0 vote to adopt the budget as presented.
The comptroller characterized the document before trustees as the certified final version of the tentative budget already reviewed by the Department of Taxation. No changes to line items were reported during the public hearing portion of the item.
The board did not identify additional public comment on the budget at the meeting. The district will proceed under the adopted FY 2025-26 budget until further action is taken by the trustees.
