The Village of Jackson Board of Public Works voted May 27 to approve pay request No. 15 for the wastewater treatment plant tertiary filters and disinfection project for JH Hassinger in the amount of $501,760.55.
The payment motion was made by Engelhardt and seconded by Kripke. The board then approved a separate motion, moved by Engelhardt and seconded by Mitchell, to approve the Clean Water Fund loan request No. 12 for the 2024 wastewater treatment plant project in the amount of $510,713.05; staff said that loan request includes Pay Request No. 15 and engineering charges.
Jack, the director of public works, said the ultraviolet (UV) system is “up and running, not fully functioning just because due to our compliance, we don't have to be yet. So we're doing some testing with it.” He described the current work as testing toward compliance requirements rather than full-time operation.
No roll-call vote was recorded on the public transcript; both motions were approved by voice vote.
The board did not record additional financing conditions at the meeting. Staff noted the Clean Water Fund request bundles the construction pay request and engineering charges for processing to the state loan program.
Both items passed by voice vote.
