Right Tech reports hires, enrollment and program highlights; construction teacher hired

The presenter said Right Tech has hired a construction teacher (a previous Right Tech teacher) and is recruiting to fill a vacancy in the law enforcement program after a recent resignation. The construction program may pre-sell a house built by the class to allow buyer-selected upgrades.
Enrollment and program numbers provided included: - Right Academy total enrollment expected to end the school year at about 84 students (77 high school, 7 mid-level). - Credit recovery and evening independent study: nine students in one credit recovery program and 18 students in Monday night sessions.
Other program highlights: - Scholarships awarded to Right Tech students from local groups including Buffalo Rotary and a Hennepin Co-op; two health science students qualified for national competition in Nashville and are raising funds to attend. - Law enforcement program held a simulated court day with Buffalo Fire Department involvement. - Summer school starts June 16 and runs through July 18; day school begins after June 4. The presenter noted the program is "winding down" for the school year and staff are monitoring registrations.
Financial and operational notes included the district's last lease payment due June 15 and staff intent to "spend consciously and save where possible" heading into summer.
Board members thanked Right Tech staff and noted the program's role in student pathways.
