Laredo ISD reports 218 Tdap, 225 MCV4 doses given at mid‑June middle‑school clinics

Laredo Independent School District officials told the Student Services Committee on Wednesday that the City of Laredo Public Health Department administered vaccines at the district’s four middle schools in May to help meet state requirements for incoming seventh graders.
Pat Martinez, speaking for district nursing staff, said the city-run clinics administered 218 Tdap doses and 225 MCV4 (meningococcal conjugate) doses across the four middle schools during dates in May. Martinez said the clinics at Lamar Middle School, Sagararo, Christian Middle and Memorial Middle took place during school hours with parental consent forms collected in advance; parents did not need to be present for vaccination on campus.
