Resident asks city to explain 'APA' enforcement after reports of uneven ticketing

Quinn Allen of Allentown urged the City Council to make the operations and enforcement policies of the "APA" public after seeing what he described as inconsistent enforcement. "I saw some pictures to where there was 1 car no. 2 different cars in the same exact area, same parts very similarly, but 1 person got ticketed, the other 1 didn't," Allen said.
Allen also said he has seen videos of people conducting overnight petrol in [sic] and that he believed the conduct had been addressed previously at a mayoral debate. He said he plans to examine APA policies, including how ticket payments are handled, and suggested constitutional concerns about enforcement procedures. "I'm gonna be taking a deeper look into the APA to see what the policies are as far as the payments of these tickets as well. Because if you're violating the eighth amendment, I'm gonna come back, and we're gonna have a nice little chat," Allen said.
