The Richardson ISD Board of Trustees completed its required annual reorganization on Thursday, electing officers for the coming year and swearing in trustees elected in the May election.
President Chris Poteet was re-elected board president in a 7–0 vote. Rachel McGowan was elected vice president, and Trustee Renteria was elected board secretary; both elections were unanimous. The board named Trustee Vanessa Pacheco as the district’s TASB (Texas Association of School Boards) delegate and Trustee Eric Eager as the alternate, also by unanimous votes.
Earlier in the meeting the board administered oaths of office to trustees who had been reelected in May; the transcript includes a public oath for Christine Harrison. Board members thanked departing and returning colleagues and confirmed the slate of officer positions required under the Texas Education Code.
