The Board of Investment Contract for the City of Rome on May 29 approved a $14,640,000 contract for the Kessinger Dam rehabilitation and a package of other contract awards, bid authorizations and a personnel change, and defeated a proposed sale of a city-owned parcel.
The board voted to award RFP 20250011G to Slate Hill Constructors Inc. for the Kessinger Dam rehabilitation project for $14,640,000. Phil, a city staff member, said the project schedule "because of in-water constraints, is gonna push us right to the first quarter of 2027 for project completion." President John Nash presided over the meeting.
