County staff read three bids for MSC 1-25 through MSC 4-25. The lowest responsive bid totaled $244,158.94. Engineering staff noted the bids were below the engineer's estimate of $334,360. Representatives from Blacktop Service were present at the meeting.
The board moved and seconded a resolution to award the contract (Resolution 05272503) contingent on receipt of required insurance certificates and the contractor's bond. On roll call, the board voted unanimously to award the contract.
Staff will execute the contract documents and return the signed resolution once the contractor has supplied the required certificates and bonds.
