Creekview construction 67% complete; district awards AG/ROTC building contract with September substantial completion target

Rafael Barajas (construction brief) told trustees the Creekview High School project was approximately 67% complete, a roughly 3-percentage-point increase from the prior month's report. Exterior work includes roofing cap sheets, site concrete and delineation of additional parking areas. Athletic-field work is underway with liners, final grading, storm drains and areas prepared for field events such as high jump, long jump and pole vault.
An internal update on the interior work noted specialty installations in classroom and lab areas, restroom tile and partitions, painting and ceiling framing in the library and cafeteria areas, and progress in both the auxiliary and competition gyms; court installation is expected in July-August as HVAC conditioning is phased in.
On the Medina Valley High School AG/ROTC project, staff reported the board awarded the contract to W.R. Griggs. The district reported a contract amount of $11,500,000 and a target substantial-completion date of Sept. 30, 2025. The presentation said CPS (the local electric utility) had installed poles and primary service lines south of the property, and Griggs had tied the primary into a new transformer to feed the campus. District staff noted no pay application had yet been received for the first month and said percent-complete reporting would be in the next board packet.
Staff also reported relocation of three portables previously south of the band hall to a location outside Building 200 for future middle-school use.
