Budget and standing orders Treasurer Shannon presented a draft county budget the court said totals about $63,000,001.54 and described it as balanced. The court approved the budget’s first reading and directed it to the state Department for Local Government for review. Separately the court approved annual standing orders — preapproved routine payments such as utility bills, insurance and debt service — to allow electronic payment for those items.
Grants and recycling programs Recycling director Angie Munsey reported multiple successful grant awards. The court approved a recycling grant of $574,571 to expand the county sorting line and purchase a plastic/foam densifier; a composting grant of $245,107 to support an air‑burner pilot; a household hazardous waste grant of $41,000; and an annual waste‑tire grant of $4,000. County staff said the combined in‑kind value of the awarded grants exceeds $1,080,000. The court approved each grant by motion.
Bids and construction The court awarded an electrical contract for the Craig Cain building to Wiley Electrical Contracting and approved a design‑build contract for Public Works construction at the Fred Cain site to RCL Design‑Build (RCL). County staff warned both contractors that state plan review and permitting could delay work because a portion of the project requires sprinkler upgrades and a formal plan review in Frankfort.
Road deed and roadway adoption The city transferred a parcel of Old Sanford/Stanford Road to the county. The court approved acceptance of the deed and adopted Resolution 25.050.27 to incorporate County Road 11409 (Old Stanford Road) — approximately 2,008 feet — into the county road system for maintenance.
Other business The court approved reappointments to the Danville‑Boyle CVB/CVVC board (Lisa Bottom and John Bowen) and accepted routine cash and budget transfers reported at the start of the meeting. All motions were approved on voice votes during the meeting as recorded by the clerk.
