Ordinance 12 — Grant Lakeview Properties LLC a concurrent use permit for a skywalk bridge over the East First Street alley adjacent to 333 East Superior Street. Moved by Vice President Nephew; passed 9 to 0.
Ordinance 13 — Add Article 5 to Chapter 29A of the Duluth City Code requiring landlords to provide tenants with notices of available resources and protected rights under state law and city ordinance. Moved by Council President Tomanek and seconded by Councilor Randolph; the council passed the ordinance 9 to 0. Councilors said the ordinance is the first step of a two-part package that will include additional rental-licensing, inspection and enforcement changes to target larger property owners, shorten enforcement timelines and increase penalties for repeat or large-scale violations.
