Council members praised both candidates’ interest and service; several members noted Peterson’s prior service on a parks advisory commission as relevant experience.
Council Member Herndon moved to appoint Tracy Peterson to the parks commission for the remainder of the open term; the motion was seconded by Council Member Craigness. Council members present voted by voice; members signified approval by saying "Aye." The motion passed.
Council members encouraged Bloyer to remain engaged and to consider future openings; they said they value his perspective and noted other boards and commissions may have opportunities.
