Chief Carmack said the group — Amy Anderson, Amy Stromick, Caitlyn Crump, Melissa Misco and Michaela Robleski — formed a rescue plan, summoned emergency help, coordinated a vessel response and transported Farrah to a nearby boat ramp where emergency responders took over. Carmack read the police accommodation describing their “courageous action, decisive teamwork, and dedication to preservation of life.”
Commissioners and staff presented framed recognitions and took photographs with the honorees and Farrah after the reading. No formal commission vote was recorded for the awards; the presentation was part of the meeting’s ceremonial items.
