Council ratified charges associated with the Stafford Business Symposium held May 1 and previously approved at the April 16 meeting, following a waiver of the Stafford Center rental fee. Staff presented three invoices for approval: a Phoenix Design Group invoice for pipe-and-drape rental (about $3,400), a Fresh and Savory invoice for breakfast tacos ($15.30), and the Stafford Center rental fee of $8,340 that had been waived at the earlier meeting.
Staff asked council to ratify payment of the invoices so records reflect the full event costs and the previously approved waiver. Councilmembers commended organizer efforts; one councilmember singled out Councilman Bostick and Randy Kron of the Economic Development Corporation for work on the event. A motion to approve payment of the invoices was moved and seconded; the motion passed without recorded opposition.
The action formalizes acceptance and payment of the listed invoices and records the previously waived Stafford Center fee in council minutes.
