Council adopts annual assessments for Roseville's landscaping and lighting districts

The Roseville City Council held a public hearing May 21 and adopted resolutions to approve the engineer’s annual levy reports and order the levy and collection of assessments for the city's eight Landscaping and Lighting Districts (LLDs) for fiscal year 2025–26.
Finance Director Scott Pettengill explained the LLDs fund ongoing maintenance, operations and servicing of landscaping and lighting improvements within public rights-of-way and dedicated easements; assessments are collected on property tax bills. The combined expected revenue from the districts for the next fiscal year is just over $1,720,000, which the staff said will fund maintenance and operations for the public improvements in each district.
The council adopted the set of resolutions for each district — including the Historic District, Infill Area, Johnson Ranch, North Central Roseville Specific Plan, Northwest Roseville Specific Plan, Olympus Pointe, Riverside Avenue and Vernon Street LLDs — by roll-call vote with all members present. There were no public speakers on the item.
The adopted resolutions authorize the city to include the approved assessments on property tax rolls for collection in FY25–26.
