Commissioner Spitz moved the item and Commissioner Luebs seconded. In brief remarks, Commissioner Spitz thanked the sheriff's office, risk management, Oakland Schools and local school districts for resolving disputes between district insurance providers and reconciling the county's SRO contract model and policy. He said the resolution captures that reconciliation and indicated no further discussion was necessary.
The clerk was asked to prompt a vote and, after the call, staff confirmed the item was approved. No roll-call vote details were read into the record at the time of approval during the committee session.
The addendum updates the law enforcement service agreement that governs school resource officer services for the county working with local districts through 2027.
