The Waukesha City Parks, Recreation and Forestry Board on May 19 approved a distribution easement with We Energies to install an underground electrical line that crosses a portion of Merrillcrest Park and school district property.

City staff said the easement language was revised to narrow the area affected and to limit activity to underground installation. Staff also said the work relates in part to fiber network upgrades in the neighborhood and that the installation route crosses school district property.
Board members voted to approve the easement by unanimous voice vote.
