Planning and zoning staff tried to work with the property owner for roughly a year but did not get the necessary documentation.
Deputy county counsel asked the board to authorize legal action to obtain an injunction to address the outstanding septic installation and other zoning violations. A commissioner moved to approve authorizing Deputy County Attorney Volkmar to file the injunction; the motion passed on a unanimous roll-call vote.
County staff said the planning and zoning enforcement process led to the board action and that the county will proceed with legal filings to resolve the outstanding compliance issues.
