The New Shoreham Town Council voted Wednesday to grant a mobile food establishment license to Alberto Sanchez, doing business as Pizza Shack, to operate at Pains Dock, 878 West Side Road (Plat 5, Lot 0).
The license was approved after Sanchez described planned hours and equipment. "We're gonna do 11:30... get everything shut down by at least by 12," Sanchez told the council during the application review.
Council members then moved to add Plat 5, Lot 0 to the town's list of approved mobile food locations, a separate administrative item required to finalize the permit. Both the license grant and the location addition passed by voice vote; no roll-call tallies were recorded in the transcript.
The town convened the Board of License Commissioners during the council meeting to consider the application and handled the two related motions back-to-back. The log of the meeting shows the applicant provided photos and a site diagram at the hearing and that staff confirmed placement of the unit on the dock area.
No conditions, hours beyond those described by the applicant, or enforcement actions were recorded in the discussion besides the applicant's statement about closing by midnight. One council member recused himself from the Board of License Commissioners portion because the applicant was a family member.
The council adjourned the Board of License Commissioners after the votes.
Provenance: Discussion and votes on the license and the addition of Plat 5, Lot 0 appear in the meeting transcript beginning with the meeting call and license discussion and conclude with the Board of License Commissioners adjournment.
