Board votes to centralize meetings in Nashville after statute permits electronic participation

Staff said the law goes into effect July 1 and recommended the board confirm Nashville as the primary meeting location while preserving the ability to hold in-person meetings elsewhere as necessary. The board passed a motion to move its meetings to Nashville and instructed staff to update the schedule and post notice on the board’s website.
Board members discussed logistics, including the need to designate in advance which meeting will satisfy the annual physical-quorum requirement, and staff said they will finalize venue reservations and notify members early in the year if they must attend in person.
The motion carried with no recorded opposition. The board’s next meeting was noted on the record as July 29, 2025, in Nashville.
