Public commenters flag Skyward reporting problems, misspelled valedictorian plaque and lost senior recognition

Kimberly Mulrooney of Brooksville spoke during the agenda-comments portion about agenda items pertaining to the district’s technology and personnel. Regarding the Skyward student information system and an associated annual license, she told the board accounting reports were not accurate and that the district has an IT ticket open with Skyward. "The reports that they're trying to pull are not becoming accurate," Mulrooney said. She asked that the district investigate the reporting issues and consider whether vendor remediation or reimbursement was appropriate.

She asked the board to recognize the oversight and ensure future honors are handled with adequate oversight; she described the error as an embarrassment for an award presented at a single annual ceremony.
Another parent, Kimberly Mulrooney, later said her son was called to receive recognition for entering the U.S. Navy at a school ceremony without any prior notice to the family and asked the district to improve communications.
Ending: Board members acknowledged the public comments and staff said they would follow up; the transcript shows the items will be referred to appropriate staff for follow-up and the complainants were encouraged to provide additional documentation to the board secretary if needed.
