Noor said the updated contract reflects a modest rate increase requested by the clinician; the department and other municipalities have used the clinician and the department is satisfied with the quality of screening and follow-up services including post-trauma guidance.
Commissioners asked whether the city attorney should review the form; the commission directed that legal review take place prior to final signature and authorized the police chief to sign the contract after that review. The motion to approve the contract was recorded as contingent on city-attorney review.
The commission approved the contingent motion by unanimous roll call.
