"I'm asking for approval so I can get these orders so we can make our July 3 deadline," Schroeder said.
Commission discussion noted continued work on a possible shade structure and final shipping quotes; commissioners praised the lower-than-expected price. The commission approved the purchase request by unanimous roll-call vote.
Next steps: staff will place the orders and continue to obtain quotes for the shade structure; the trash receptacle will be installed when it is delivered.
