County approves several road-and-bridge items: cooperative weed MOU, funding reallocation for telehandler, power connection and vehicle auctions

- Power agreement for Gold Dust Road Department: The board approved a power agreement to bring service to the Gold Dust road facility despite higher-than-expected connection estimates. Commissioners expressed reluctance at the price but approved the agreement so site work can proceed.
- Auction of two vehicles: Commissioners authorized auctioning a 2010 Ford F-150 and a 2004 Ford Explorer from county fleet as surplus.

Public-works staff provided several project updates: geotechnical work and draft reports for the Merit Title (Cascade Annex) site and West Roseberry/West Mountain analysis were due soon; inspection reports for the Gold Dust facility showed satisfactory compaction and foundations were expected to be poured next week; and staff described the need to update road-development cost estimates (parametrics) and the master transportation plan to identify truck routes and priorities.
