Members said they had seen examples of storefront lighting they considered incompatible with the district’s character and proposed offering guidance to business owners. One board member noted a local architect running for council who has expressed interest in heading a signage initiative. The board discussed the need to advertise and properly notice any work session and suggested targeting downtown signage and paint-color control as initial priorities.
No formal motions were made. Several members volunteered to pursue scheduling a work session and to coordinate with borough council and staff about public-notice requirements. The board said it will address downtown signage and related guidance at a future advertised meeting or work session.
